Chicken Poop and Other Great Lip and Beauty Products!
Chicken Poop Lip Balm and Moisturizer
Chicken Poop??? A Green Approach to Beauty!
When I complained about having chapped lips and my best friend asked me if I wanted some "Chicken Poop" for them, I thought she had lost her mind! Actually, I said, "What in the HELL are you talking about?". She started laughing and went to her purse and started digging around. She brought out an innocent-looking black and white tube of lip balm, or "lip junk" as the company, Simone Chickenbone, LLC, calls it and threw it to me. I said, "I'm not putting anything with "chicken #@*& in it on my lips"! She laughed at me and told me to read the ingredients before I decided not to try it.
One look at the tube, and I realized it said there was "no chicken poop" in it. Instead, there is a great smelling, almost tasteless but very effective moisturizer or balm for dry and chapped lips, consisting of avocado oil, beeswax, jojoba oil, lavender, sweet orange essential oil and Vitamin E! The label states-"Contains no Poop", and calls the company an "All Natural Cosmetic Manufacturer, and For External Use Only". Although, if the ingredients listed are all that make it up, it might actually be good for you to eat! (just kidding!). You already know that I am also hooked on Vitamin E for thick strong nails, and faster growing, healthier hair, and now I find these products ( read my Hub extolling the great effects of Vitamin E)!
All I can say is that I am now hooked on Chicken Poop, and all things Simone Chickenbone! All of their products are all natural, and some are even advertised as vegan. The prices are reasonable, and you can even get a nice selection of items in gift sets for $30.00 (plus shipping). They even have an all natural deodorant made out of witch hazel and melaleuca (also known as tea tree oil) that kills the bacteria on your body that causes the smell of "B.O." It comes in a 4oz. atomizer that leaves no carbon footprint because it isn't an aerosol!
After reading the company history, and their vision for the future, I discovered that they have a completely green approach from using recyclable packaging and all natural ingredients, to practicing composting and utilizing natural light to work by in their reclaimed warehouse space where they are located. All of their products are natural and some contain anti-oxidants, especially their "*Good Gravey" solid moisturizing puck that comes in a tin. This "puck" even pops out of the tin, and you can actually rub it directly on your skin. instead of having to scoop it out with your fingers and then apply like most of the body butters, etc.
The company also offers apparel, such as t-shirts, sweatshirts and head gear, along with humorous bumper stickers advertising their products. Even their webpage is catchy, eye-appealing and humorous.
Their products are a bit hard to find, offered at places from Academy Sports to Tractor Supply and Beauty Salons and spas. But-I found them on Amazon for you and am providing a link showing you the products and information on Amazon to make it easier for you to try them. Personally, I give them a 5 out of 5 stars for all around effectiveness and for being all natural! Enjoy using your own "Chicken Poop"!
